Directed by Mel Brooks and starring Gene Wilder, this cult classic follows the grandson of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, as he inherits the family estate in Transylvania and resumes the peculiar experiments once conducted by his deceased grandfather. Parodying the cinematic conventions of horror, this film puts a comedic spin on the oft-adapted story of Frankenstein

Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein is widely thought to be based on the myth of the Golem, a story that continues to be re-interpreted by many modern and contemporary artists alike, including our current exhibiting artist, Dina Goldstein.
