OPEN CALL: BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MUSEUM OF JEWISH MONTREAL
The Museum of Jewish Montreal (MJM), an innovative place to connect with Montreal’s Jewish life & heritage through new arts and cultural experiences, is seeking people from diverse backgrounds with varied skills and experiences to join its Board of Directors at a time of exceptional growth and development.

History & Mission
Established in 2010, MJM was initially an online project committed to mapping, documenting, and presenting the rich and diverse history and culture of Montreal’s Jewish community. In 2016, MJM opened a small storefront where it extended this mandate to include contemporary art and historical exhibitions, walking tours, food programming, and other cultural events. This summer, MJM moved to its new home at 5220 St-Laurent, a three-floor, 10,000-square-foot space. The organization is currently hosting cultural events and will soon begin renovations so that it can offer substantially increased programming, exhibitions, and community engagement. The Museum’s vision is that Montreal will be home to a thriving ecosystem of Jewish arts and culture, where Jews will have lifelong connections to their identity, and all Montrealers will have stronger ties to our city’s Jewish life.
