Venue Rentals
5220 Saint-Laurent boulevard is currently available to rent for evening events (from 5pm to 11pm) from Monday to Sunday. Daytime rentals can be made for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and for conference rooms every day. We are open to the public for exhibition viewings from Thursdays to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
About the space
Our ground floor and mezzanine, second floor conference/classrooms, and third floor gallery are available to rent for your next event, meeting, or party!
Raw Space: We are delighted to offer our space as a rental venue, but our Museum is not yet fully equipped as we prepare for renovations and upgrades in 2025. The Museum building is currently somewhat of a “raw space” with limited extra amenities. Please read below for a list of these amenities.
Amenities
The following amenities are included in venue rentals (pending availability)
- Bathrooms on the first and second floor will be cleaned and stocked with paper towels, hand soap, and toilet paper before rentals;
- Coat check area with 150 hangers;
- 1 check-in desk (26” W x 119” L x 39.25” H);
- 1 conference table (32” W x 66” L x 28.5” H), 7 folding tables;
- 4 cocktail tables (adjustable height) and 12 barstools;
- 3 round cafe tables and 6 chairs;
- 60 folding black chairs;
- 28 upholstered banquet chairs;
- Basic sound system (2x loudspeakers, Mackie 1402VLZ4 mixer, 2 mics);
- Bar (can me moved) & Kitchenette (includes access to fridge with freezer, microwave, sink);
- Guest wifi access;
- MJM staff onsite to help open and close the venue, and offer any emergency assistance.
Additional amenities and fees
Staffing : For events with over 40 attendees additional staff members are required.
Security Guards: Required for public events with over 25 people and private events with over 40 people.
Tech set-up fees: A/V equipment (including speakers, microphones, projectors, and screen) and on-site technical support are offered by the Museum.
Bar Service: Bartenders, RACJ alcohol permits for serving or selling , pay-per-drink or bring your own supply.
Registration Services: Set up of online ticketing page and overseeing registration, design of promotional content, front-desk check-in.
The following is NOT included in the rental agreement, and is at the discretion and expense of the renter:
- Coat check staff
- Catering or food services
- Reserved and/or valet parking
- Additional lighting, tech, or decorations

Accessibility
- The ground floor of the Museum of Jewish Montreal has a wheelchair ramp and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. There are no automatic door openers, but a Museum staff can assist any visitors entering the building. We do not have an elevator, hence the two upper floors are not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
