Travel back in time to the 1940s and 50s to visit a Yiddish institution that helped shape Jewish identity in Montreal – the Peretz Shule. Telling the story through the eyes of several students who attended the school, our new tour takes a closer look at the history of Montreal’s vibrant Yiddish community, and the importance the school held for those living in the neighbourhood now called the Plateau.
