MAKING THEIR MARK

MAKING THEIR MARK VIRTUAL TOUR

Join us for an immersive online tour of one of Montreal’s most vibrant historic neighbourhoods. The epicentre of Jewish life in Montreal from the turn of the 20th century until the 1950s, today’s Plateau neighbourhood was once home to tens of thousands of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe. Discover their stories and see first-hand how this community worked, worshipped, and supported one another as they built new lives in Montreal. Our virtual visit explores the schools, synagogues, hospitals, and cultural organizations they established—institutions that still leave a mark on Montreal society today. Join an expert local guide from the comfort of your own home, and immerse yourself in this neighbourhood’s unique and vibrant history.
